Regina B Evans | First Lady of Finance

November 24, 20221 min read

Regina Evans, also known as “First Lady,” is a black woman who we believe to be a power woman. She is an incredibly inspirational woman who grew up in Chicago in a very strict household. With a very busy childhood, Regina was taught from a young age to improve her leadership skills and study as hard as possible.

The Beginning of Her Story

Regina became a dancer at a very young age and was always interested in the arts. From the age of five, she was involved in dancing ballet, tap, gymnastics, and jazz. She joined dance companies and majored in theater dance at Northern Illinois University. There, she became the first black dance major to ever graduate from the school.

Her Career in the World of Dance

Her entrepreneurial journey started when she started her own dance company while she was in college. She started teaching and started offering dance programs at schools around Chicago. From there, she taught dance at the Chicago Academy for the Arts High School. She used dance as her career, becoming a mentor for young dancers as well as a top tier instructor and choreographer.

Meeting Her Husband and Starting Their Own Business

When she met her husband, she started to work with her husband to create their own business. She first worked as their office manager but then transitioned to becoming fully licensed as a financial services consultant.

Where Her Career is Headed Now

Now, Regina focuses on promoting and uplifting African American leaders in business and making a difference in the lives of others through supporting different organizations. She wants everyone to have a better quality of life, just as she has found for herself through her hard work and dedication.
